Cancellation & Refund Policy

At BookMyShoot, we understand that plans can change. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for canceling bookings and requesting refunds for studio bookings made through our platform.

1. Cancellation by Users

1.1 Cancellation Timeline

Users may cancel their studio bookings subject to the following conditions:

  • More than 7 days before booking: Full refund (100% of booking amount)
  • 4-7 days before booking: 50% refund of booking amount
  • 2-3 days before booking: 25% refund of booking amount
  • Less than 48 hours before booking: No refund

1.2 How to Cancel

To cancel a booking, users must:

  • Log in to their BookMyShoot account
  • Navigate to "My Bookings"
  • Select the booking to cancel and click "Cancel Booking"
  • Confirm the cancellation request

Cancellation requests are processed immediately, and a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address.

2. Refund Processing

2.1 Refund Timeline

Approved refunds will be processed within:

  • 5-7 business days for credit/debit card payments
  • 7-10 business days for UPI and net banking payments
  • 10-14 business days for wallet payments

Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used during booking.

2.2 Processing Fees

A processing fee of 2.5% or ₹50 (whichever is higher) may be deducted from the refund amount to cover transaction and administrative costs. This fee is non-refundable.

3. Cancellation by Studio Owners

In the event that a studio owner cancels a confirmed booking:

  • Users will receive a full refund (100%) of the booking amount
  • No processing fees will be deducted
  • Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days
  • Users will be notified immediately via email and SMS
  • BookMyShoot may offer alternative studio options or compensation at its discretion

4. No-Show Policy

If a user fails to show up for a confirmed booking without prior cancellation:

  • The booking will be considered fulfilled
  • No refund will be issued
  • The full booking amount will be paid to the studio owner

We strongly encourage users to cancel bookings in advance if they cannot attend.

5. Exceptions and Special Circumstances

5.1 Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, etc.), BookMyShoot reserves the right to modify the cancellation and refund policy. Users may be eligible for full refunds or rescheduling options regardless of the cancellation timeline.

5.2 Medical Emergencies

Users may request a full refund for medical emergencies by providing valid medical documentation within 48 hours of the scheduled booking. Such requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

5.3 Technical Issues

If a booking cannot be fulfilled due to technical issues on the BookMyShoot platform or payment gateway errors, users will receive a full refund without any deductions.

6. Modification of Bookings

Users may request to modify their booking dates or times subject to studio availability:

  • Modifications requested more than 48 hours before the booking are free of charge
  • Modifications requested within 48 hours may incur a ₹200 rescheduling fee
  • Modifications are subject to studio owner approval
  • If the new booking amount is higher, users must pay the difference
  • If the new booking amount is lower, the difference will be refunded according to this policy

7. Disputes and Resolution

If you have any concerns regarding cancellations or refunds:

  • Contact our support team at support@bookmyshoot.com
  • Provide your booking ID and details of the issue
  • Our team will respond within 24-48 hours
  • Disputes will be resolved in accordance with our Terms and Conditions

8. Policy Updates

BookMyShoot reserves the right to modify this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
